We are Kaspar Hamminga & Erik Ringelberg, Dutch Surf Champions, professional surfers, and certified surf coaches. Together, we are the proud owners of Dutch Surf Academy in ‘s-Gravenzande!
Located between the major cities of The Hague and Rotterdam is the Westland region. Nestled between the coastal towns of ‘s-Gravenzande and Hoek van Holland lies the beautiful and serene Vlugtenburg beach. This is where our surf school, Dutch Surf Academy, is situated. For us, this place holds a special magic, as it’s where we started surfing in the North Sea 18 years ago.
In 2018, we realized our shared dream and established our own surf school here!
By 2024, we’ve grown into a surf school renowned for its quality, having taught surfing to over 20,000 people!

Everyone can learn to surf, regardless of your age. With a bit of determination and the right tips, you’ll be standing on that surfboard for the first time in no time. And that’s a moment you’ll never forget! We exclusively work with highly experienced instructors who hold lifeguard and ISA (International Surfing Association) diplomas. With our unique teaching method, you’ll learn to surf quickly and safely.
We offer a comprehensive range of surf lessons, surf camps, surf coaching, and rental of surf equipment for both children and adults on a daily basis.
We offer a comprehensive range of surf lessons: Regular lessons, Group lessons & Private lessons, Subscriptions, Surfcamps, Surfcoaching and Rent our surf material.
