The ‘regular kids’ lessons take place daily. Perfect for kids who have never surfed before or need a refresher.

What is included?

The lesson price includes a custom-sized wetsuit, custom surfboard, and a certified surf instructor!

What do i have to bring myself?

Sunscreen for your face, hands, and feet. A water bottle for after the surf lesson, a towel to dry off, and tight-fitting swimwear like swim trunks or a swimsuit.

Is the surf lesson safe?

Surfing remains an ‘extreme sport,’ and like any other sport, it involves safety risks. We maintain small groups, provide lessons from internationally certified surf instructors holding lifeguard diplomas, and have close connections with the lifeguard service. After comprehensive safety theory, you can confidently enter the water with our instructors.

Where is the location of the surfschool?

Dutch Surf Academy is located at the popular beach club De Pit in ‘s-Gravenzande. Navigate to Dutch Surf Academy and park in the parking lot, then walk onto the beach. We are situated on your right-hand side.

How can I pay?

When you make a reservation, you can easily pay online via iDeal. Alternatively, you can choose to pay on-site using a debit card or in cash

Surf lesson kids

A regular surf lesson is a beginner’s class for children up to 16 years old who have never surfed before or those who would like a refresher and have a swimming diploma.

Lesson duration:

2 hours including changing

Prices:

Single lesson: €37.50,-
3-ride card: €105,-
5-ride card: €165,-
10-ride card: €280,-

Surf lesson for kids!

How does a regular surf lesson for kids look like?

The lesson begins with a welcome at the surf school, where you’ll be provided with a custom-fitted wetsuit and a chance to change. Together, we’ll select a suitable surfboard based on your height and weight.

Next, it’s time for a brief theory lesson covering topics such as equipment, knowledge of the sea, currents and safety, and, of course, the step-by-step process of surfing itself. We have multiple techniques for standing up, and together we’ll determine which one suits you best.

After the theory lesson, we’ll head into the water together. Throughout the entire lesson, you’ll receive tips and guidance in the water, and every effort will be made to get you standing. Safety and fun are, of course, the top priorities.

With our unique teaching method, we can (almost) guarantee that you’ll be standing in your first lesson!

Een fijne surfschool op een perfecte locatie. Mooi strand wat niet mega druk is en mooie golven om te leren surfen. Het is mooi om te zien hoe Erik en Kaspar hun passie overbrengen tijdens de surflessen op de kinderen. Na 1 les van Erik konden ze de dagen erna oefenen met de gehuurde spullen. Met vragen, tips en tops kon je altijd bij Erik of Kaspar terecht, super. Staat bij ons op het lijstje voor herhaling.

Superleuke ervaring. Erik is een enorm sympathieke surfpro die ons met engelengeduld de basis bijbracht van het surfen. Kinderen van 8 en 10 vonden het ook helemaal te gek.
