The lessons of our surf subscription level 1 are twice a week, one fixed day on the weekend and one on weekdays in the evening, depending on the waves. Perfect for those who are hooked and want to work on basic techniques more frequently every week.

What is included?

The lesson price includes a custom wetsuit, custom surfboard, and a certified surf instructor!”

What do I have to bring?

Sunscreen for your face, hands, and feet. A water bottle for after the surf lesson, a towel to dry off, and snug-fitting swimwear such as trunks or a swimsuit.

Is the surf lesson safe?

Surfing remains an ‘extreme sport,’ and like any other sport, there are safety risks involved. We maintain small groups, and you will be taught by internationally certified surf instructors who hold a lifeguard diploma. We have close communication with the rescue team. After a comprehensive safety theory session, you can confidently enter the water with our instructors.

Where is the surfschool located?

Dutch Surf Academy is located next to the popular beach club ‘De Pit’ in ‘s-Gravenzande. Navigate to Dutch Surf Academy, park in the parking lot, walk onto the beach, and you’ll find us on your right-hand side

When you make a reservation, you can easily pay online via iDeal. You can also choose to pay by card or cash on-site.

Surf lesson subscription (Level 1)

Do you want to really master the basics of surfing?

Have you never surfed before or had a few introductory surf lessons and want to truly learn how to surf? With a surf lesson subscription (level 1), you’ll learn the basics of surfing in a series of lessons. You’ll learn (more) about safety, currents, positioning in the water, surf rules, paddling, braking and accelerating, and learning to steer.

Duration:

2 hours including changing.

Prices:

1 trial lesson: €37.50 per person.
3-ride card: €105 per person.
5-ride card: €165 per person.
10-ride card: €280 per person.

Do you want to truly master the basics of surfing?

With a surf lesson subscription, you can join our surf lessons every week. The surf lesson subscription is a kind of training program to learn to surf independently with a solid foundation.

When are the surf lessons?

There are fixed surf lessons every weekend, and based on the weather forecasts, we also plan a surf lesson on weekdays in the evenings. We will update you every week via our Surf Lesson Subscription WhatsApp group with a new schedule. In this group, you can sign up for the lesson.

Can’t make it? No problem. You only pay when you come to surf!

Quality of the surf lessons?

We make sure there are always enough instructors present. The fun part is that after a few lessons, you actually get to know the instructor and other participants. This way, you truly collaborate to improve your surf skills! After the lesson, many participants enjoy a snack and a drink at our neighbors at Beach Club De Pit.
