Private lessons for kids are available daily. Perfect for kids who have never surfed before or need a refresher.

What is included?

The lesson price includes a custom-sized wetsuit, custom surfboard, and a certified surf instructor!

What do I need to bring myself?

Sunscreen for your face, hands, and feet. A water bottle for after the surf lesson, a towel to dry off, and tight-fitting swimwear like swim trunks or a swimsuit.

Is the surf lesson safe?

Surfing remains an ‘extreme sport,’ and just like any other sport, it comes with safety risks. We maintain small groups, you’ll be taught by internationally certified surf instructors who hold a lifeguard diploma, and we have close connections with the lifeguard service. After an extensive safety theory session, you can enter the water with confidence alongside our instructors.

Where is the surfschool located?

Dutch Surf Academy is attached to the popular beach club De Pit in ‘s-Gravenzande. Navigate to Dutch Surf Academy, park in the parking lot, walk onto the beach, and you’ll find us on your right-hand side.

How can I pay?

When you make a reservation, you can easily pay online via iDeal. Alternatively, you can choose to pay on-site using a debit card or in cash.

Private lesson kids

A private lesson for children is a surfing lesson designed for beginner or advanced kids up to 16 years old who prefer to have the teacher’s full attention. In a playful manner, the kids learn the ins and outs of surfing. Safety and fun are the top priorities.

These lessons are available for both children and adults or a combination of both, and can be reserved for one or a maximum of five people.

Duration:

2 hours including changing.

Prices:

1 person: €85 per person.
2 persons: €60 per person.
3 persons: €50 per person.
4 persons or more: €45 per person.

When:

Every day, at any time possible (weather and sea conditions permitting). Please make a reservation in advance.

Learn how to surf the safe way!

How does a private surf lesson look?

The lesson begins with a welcome at the surf school, where you’ll be provided with a custom-fitted wetsuit and a chance to change.

Next, we’ll together choose a suitable surfboard that precisely matches your height and weight. Then, it’s time for the theory lesson.

In this session, you can specify the topics you’d like information on. If it’s your first lesson, the instructor will introduce basic subjects such as equipment, knowledge of the sea, currents, safety, and, of course, the step-by-step process of standing up. After the theory lesson, you’ll go into the water with the instructor.

Throughout the water session, he provides tips and support as needed. Safety and fun are the top priorities!

With our unique teaching method, we can (almost) guarantee that you’ll be standing in your first lesson or make significant progress.
