The regular lessons take place daily, perfect for people who have never surfed or need a refresher course.

What is included?

The lesson price includes a custom wetsuit, custom surfboard, and a certified surf instructor!

What do I need to bring myself?

Sunscreen for your face, hands, and feet. A water bottle for after the surf lesson, a towel to dry off, and tight-fitting swimwear such as boardshorts or a swimsuit

Is the surf lesson safe?

Surfing remains an ‘extreme sport,’ and like any other sport, it involves safety risks. We operate in small groups, provide lessons from internationally certified surf instructors with lifeguard certification, and maintain close communication with the lifeguard team. After a comprehensive safety theory session, you can enter the water with confidence under the guidance of our instructors.

Where is the location?

Dutch Surf Academy is located adjacent to the popular beach club ‘De Pit’ in ‘s-Gravenzande. Navigate to Dutch Surf Academy, park at the parking lot, walk onto the beach, and you’ll find us on your right-hand side.

How can I make payment?

When you make a reservation, you can easily pay online via iDEAL. Alternatively, you can choose to pay by card or in cash on-site.

Regular surf lesson adults

A regular lesson is an entry-level beginner surf lesson where you’ll learn the basics of surfing! Suitable for both adults and kids, as well as those in need of a refresher course

Duration:

2 hours including changing

Prices:

Single lesson: €37.50 per person.
3-ride card: €105 per person (Most popular).
5-ride card: €165 per person.
10-ride card: €280 per person.

What does a regular surf lesson look like?

There are multiple options for a regular surf lesson available every day. In small groups with professional and enthusiastic instructors, you’ll quickly get the hang of surfing!

The lesson begins with a welcome at the surf school, where you’ll be provided with a custom wetsuit and have the opportunity to change. Together, we’ll select a suitable surfboard that fits your height and weight.

Next, it’s time for a theory lesson. Topics covered include: equipment, understanding the sea, currents and safety, and, of course, the step-by-step plan for surfing itself. We have multiple techniques for getting up on the board, and we’ll work together to find the one that suits you.

After the theory lesson, we head into the water together. Throughout the entire lesson, you’ll receive tips and guidance in the water, and everything will be done to get you standing on the board. Safety and fun are, of course, the top priorities.

The surf lessons are led by certified surf instructors with Lifeguard certification and an ISA certificate. Our instructors have years of experience in both surfing and teaching!

With our unique teaching method and small groups with an ample number of instructors, we can (almost) guarantee that you’ll be standing in your first lesson!
